The challenge
UW-Whitewater, ranked #34 among Midwest Regional Universities by U.S. News & World Report, faced a critical challenge with a group of continuing students who were disengaged and unregistered for the upcoming semester. Recognizing the urgent risk to their persistence rate, the university's leadership sought an effective and rapid solution to encourage re-enrollment.
The solution
Motimatic partnered with UW-Whitewater to design a targeted retention strategy. The approach included:
- Identifying At-Risk StudentsThe university provided a detailed list of students identified as being at risk of not returning.
- Strategic MessagingMotimatic launched 12 unique creative concepts, delivering sequential and tailored messages to re-engage students.
With limited time to make an impact, Motimatic designed a multi-channel fall registration campaign focused on re-enrollment. This initiative reconnected with students across social channels, addressed their obstacles to registration, and instilled a sense of urgency to take action.
